The pace of change that could be witnessed in some industries in the last few months has been incredible and, in some cases, possibly permanent. One example is interpreting services. Last week, we spoke with Tea Dietterich from 2M Language Services about the effects of COVID-19 and the importance of technology. Tea, who speaks six languages and recently featured in the Australian Financial Review, not only runs a successful language services and technology company from Brisbane. She also chairs the Queensland chapter of the German Chamber and is one of our board members.

Her business employs 15 full-time staff and over 1,000 part-time and contract translators and interpreters worldwide. With conferences and other live events cancelled because of the virus, 2M has had to adapt almost overnight – a change Tea’s business was ready for. In our latest podcast episode, the German-Finnish powerhouse talks about pivoting and being at the forefront of technology.

Well done. Very successful business.
